Saturdays Starting January 17th 1-4 pm Instructed by Rob Schiffmann .
This class will focus on the basics of musical improvisation. We will work on building a melody, understanding song structure, creating lyrics and music and all sorts of goodies. We will work with solos, duets, and even trios. While there is no formal prerequisite, an understanding of the basics of improvisation is very helpful. |

Eight 3-hour classes. Prerequisite: Musical Improv Level I
Level II continues where Level I left off. We will continue to focus on melody and song structure. We will begin to put the songs on their feet and give them context. We will begin to work on a musical structure as a whole. We will also explore different types of songs including duets, opening numbers, trios and the ever-elusive metaphor songs. This class includes three performances during the course of the eight week session.
