Sam Turich
Sam
recently played Teddy in the Second Stage Theater production of Susan Kim’s
Rapid Eye Movement at the McGinn/Cazale Theater. Off- and
off-off-Broadway include Theater Four, Ensemble Studio Theater, 78th
Street Theater Lab, and HERE. Regional: The Merchant of Venice and Antony
& Cleopatra (Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Best Supporting Actor of
1997) at Quantum Theatre, and the Pittsburgh Public Theater, City Theatre.
Television: "Law & Order," "Blind Spot" (starring
Joanne Woodward). Film: Studentus Cinematicus, Short Stories About the
End of the World, Liesel de Boor’s Without a Name, named best
student film of 1999 by the National Board of Review. As a writer, Sam’s
work has been performed at local comedy clubs and off-Broadway theaters.
With his troupe Ecrasez l’Infame he is co-writing and starring in the
current workshop of a new Screwball Comedy: Crush the Infamous Thing!
Watch for it this Fall. Sam is a graduate of Columbia University and the
British American Drama Academy, and the Gotham City Improv school,
where he now teaches.
